I thought both Arguello's and Gatti's suicides were questionable.

Edit
It was on CBS.
Instead, the evidence shows that Arturo Gatti had been in an emotional downward spiral for months. Years of brutal matches had left him in constant pain. He was taking medication and drinking excessively and often got into fights. In one altercation in Florida, Gatti hit a man so hard, he allegedly left him with serious brain injuries. Even Gatti's own brother, Joe, believes that Arturo, at such a low point emotionally, finally did what he had threatened to do in the past and killed himself.

now a quick note about the florida altercation, did you know why he hit the guy? the guy he hit was mocking a mentally challenged person and Arturo defended him, after he found out who Arturo was, he decided to do what people of low moral do, sue. people like him are what keeps firms such as "who can i sue?.com" profitable.

lots of people with brain damage and alcohol abuse kill themselves. the human brain is not exactly designed to get hit in the head repeatedly like boxers do. especially one like gatti who took a frightening amount of punishment. you have brain trauma and substance abuse, your mind's not gonna be in the clearest place.
gatti showing lots of heart inside the ring means NOTHING when it comes to this question of how he died.
his ex-wife, however, seems shady. maybe she was behind it. a purse strap seems a strange way to kill yourself.
Either way would not surprise me, but some people just don't want to believe it's possible that he could have killed himself so they say dumb things like "oh he was so tough in the ring it means he could not have killed himself".
Alexis Arguello almost killed himself in the 80s in front of his 6 year old son.Last edited by Richard Wadd; 04-03-2014, 11:46 AM.

But please tell me, why does arturo's own brother believe he committed suicide?
Does brain trauma not take a horrible effect on one's mental state?
Is it unreasonable to think that gatti had brain damage from his boxing career? If you think it is unreasonable, have you seen his fights with rodriguez, ruelas, de la fishnet, angel, floyd, ward, robinson, baldomir, and gomez?
Is it not well known that alcohol abuse plays a part in depression and suicide?
Does Amanda not seem shady, further complicating things?
Does a purse strap seem a rather odd way to committ suicide?
Do all these factors not make it rather murky to any objective, semi-intelligent person?
Thanks for your answers ahead of time.Last edited by Richard Wadd; 04-03-2014, 02:32 PM.

I don't know much about the detail of the case but speculating loosely it seems plausible he was hit on the head while sleeping and then choked to death. Purse strap seems like something a woman would use. He signed a new will three weeks before death. Gatti beat her too on the night I think.
But, seeing her interviewed, she's not reluctant to talk about any of it. Listening to her it doesn't feel like she's hiding anything (unlike say the careful speech, and darting eyes of Amanda Knox). If Gatti's wife did it, she has a really brass neck and is a really convincing storyteller.
She's speaks in this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWZJqXTmx2cLast edited by Weebler I; 04-03-2014, 12:12 PM.

Third world countries are corrupt. The first reports were murder, this chick got big money too from Gatti.
