Maidana does better vs guys who come forward and exchange, like Ortiz,Karass and Lopez did. I hope Broner is planning on stopping that shelling up and just standing there tactic that he keeps doing, i wouldn't let Maidana unleash shots at me if i was Broner.

Also Maidana is a much better fighter than De Marco. Hits a lot harder as well.
Broner is going to beat Maidanas ass. Broner won't move and Maidana can't move.

Broner has the advantage in close range he throws short hard crisp punches on the inside

Speed advantage yes, but does Broner have the power at 147 to gain Maidana's respect, because if not and Broner doesn't plan on moving then maidana will walk through his shots to land his own.

I'm with Shenmue. Broner will HAVE to move against a hard puncher like Maidana. If he feels he can stand in the pocket and defend Maidana and knock him out he's wrong. Mayweather doesn't even do that. He doesn't JUST stand in the pocket. He mixes it up. Changes levels. Broner will have to do that or he will get ktfo.

I see a character flaw here, people. His pride will get him here, if he feels he can go toe to toe with Maidana. And, his defense is not good enough to stand in pocket for 12 rounds against one of the hardest hitters at 147 that actually has one of the nicest jabs for a ko artist. Maidana will work off the jab, mark my words. Maidana's jab will open the body, and a nice left hook or straight right to the gut (ala Lopez)will open the head for the overhand. Lights out, baby.

Or if broner is backpedaling in a straight line, maidana can cover an impressive distance with that jab, straight right. That's how he got the taller and backpedaling karass outta there. This fight is not as simple as yall say.

Great card by the way. And yes I will be betting on El Chino! Its going to give good odds and I don't mind shifting my poker bankroll around for one of my favorite fighters.

Everybody that has stood toe to toe with Maidana has been hurt and stopped, Broner better use movement or he is playing into maidana's fight. I know this is Broner's game as well. broner is not a defensive boxer he likes to slug it out and IMO this would be a bad choice of tactics vs Maidana. It all comes down to who can hurt who and i favor Maidana here.

There's people on here who think Broner is a slick, great defensive fighter Boxer like Floyd,Bradley, Ward etc but Broner is a come forward slugger who walks fighters down and fights on the inside.

I've seen predictions like "this will be like the Devon fight" but it wont be because Broner doesn't fight like Devon at all.

To me this is the fight of 2013.
No offense to Floyd but we knew he was going to outclass Guerrero and Canelo.
Pacquiao/Rios we pretty much know the outcome of that.

But this fight is the most intriguing. We're all wondering really how good Broner is, and Maidana is just the guy to test Broner.
Win or lose Maidana always comes to fight, and with Garcia as his trainer he's fixed his stamina and boxing. This to me is the fight I've been waiting for!!

Broner's only fight at 147 was vs Pauline and he was't that impressive, Maidana is a more dangerous fight than Pauline, I hope Broner doesn't stand there and shell up vs Maidana like he did vs Pauline without movement and throwing punches back. It would be suicide.
Dude, I've read your comments throughout this thread. And I ain't trying to be ugly. But exactly who the **** has Maidana KO'd that makes you feel that he's this freakin' Ivan Dragomachine of a man that one risk death by stepping in the ring with him? He stopped Orttiz, who's since quit in the ring twice. Soto Karrass, a fringe contender. Lopez, a fringe contnder. Outside of that, there not another recognized name on his KO record that was even remotely close to their prime. He had one of the weakest chinned fighters in the game (Khan) on ***** street for damn near an entire round and couldn finish him.he went life-n-death with a completely washed up Erik Morales. And there's plenty other holes in his resume. And even if he does hit hard. What in Broner's history leads you to believe he's gonna crumbled when touched? People kill me assuming that technical fighters can't a punch. People are sounding just like they did prior to Garcia-Matthysse. "As soon as he touches Danny its over." "As soon as he touches Danny its over." But what happen? He touched Danny, and then Danny touched his ass back. I suspect the same will happen here.

Maidana couldn't even drop Khan with 122 flush power punches. That means either Amir's chin is iron or Marcos's power is severely overrated.

                    Broner gets an easy UD.

I agree that Maidana is an overrated puncher and perhaps i have gone overboard on him slightly but maidana is a hard hitter. i'm just disagreeing with the "this is an easy nights work for Broner" comments.
