To me, the only thing that makes this fight even remotely interesting is because I view Broner as a guy that should still be fighting as a lightweight amd curious to see how he holds up against a strong, good punching welterweight. In terms of skill level, it probablt should be an easy night for Broner. But in my time as a fight fan, I've observed that if you're gonna fight naturally bigger guys, you need to have something dynamic in your game. Floyd is a dynamic defensive fighters and counterpuncher. Pacquiao has great speed and very good power. And as he progessed up the scale, both that speed and power followed him. And with Broner, I don't see anything he's particularly great at. He's very good at a lotta things. But to my eyes, he doesn't have that one, game changing aspect to his game that he is gonna be able to lean on when faced with a size and stregnth disadvantage. That said, I think he's a very good fighter and a class above Maidana. But a lil higher up the welterweight food chain, I think AB is exposed. I just done think Maidana is good enough to do it.

More excited to watch Ortiz's return than anything else on this card.

He stopped Orttiz, who's since quit in the ring twice. Soto Karrass, a fringe contender. Lopez, a fringe contnder. Outside of that, there not another recognized name on his KO record that was even remotely close to their prime. He had one of the weakest chinned fighters in the game (Khan) on ***** street for damn near an entire round and couldn finish him.he went life-n-death with a completely washed up Erik Morales. And there's plenty other holes in his resume. And even if he does hit hard. What in Broner's history leads you to believe he's gonna crumbled when touched? People kill me assuming that technical fighters can't a punch. People are sounding just like they did prior to Garcia-Matthysse. "As soon as he touches Danny its over." "As soon as he touches Danny its over." But what happen? He touched Danny, and then Danny touched his ass back. I suspect the same will happen here.

        Broner gets an easy UD.
Y'all are not using the eye test... Maidana that stopped Karass and Lopez stops Khan no doubt. See Maidana is a fighter that is often his own worse enemy. Poor technique, abandoning the jab, and whinging looping shots from last week... not to mention smothering his own power on the inside. One thing that has made me an even bigger fan of his of late, is that he is rare in my opinion. He's a guy that can have poor technique and bad stamina one fight, but then, with the right trainer can make a freakin 180 and add a lot more kinks to his game. He's always been one of the most lionhearted fighters in the game, and he's always had a tire iron for a punch. Its his application to better TECHNIQUE that unlocks his true punching power. He's going to be very motivated and very tough in this fight. Y'all just don't know.

Comparing the looping puncher and cramped, smothered uppercuts from the Khan fight to what he is rocking with now is ludicrous, frankly. That Maidana Jab, straight right from the Karass fight ENDS Khan. Any version of Khan. Not once in the Khan fight did he throw something so straight, and so long.

If yall want to talk alexander, Ill discuss that too. But anyone that knows what they are about sees massive changes in Maidana's game. Its very obvious.

And I don't just say when he touches Broner its over. I have listed specific tactics and attacks that paint a picture of how the fight can unfold.

maidana is no puncher but he is very tough.
i expect broner to make him look pretty ****** but, if careless (as usual) he will be punished.
furthermore, i think broner should poke at king "khunt" for a fight after this.
i noticed that king khunt isnt saying anything about broner is he?
          hmmmm, wonder why?
hes not providing big enough paydays .....yet.
i think king khunts next fight (if against a REAL name) he will lose by ko........................................again.

I am using the eye test buddy. And the eye test has on several occassions that Maidana ain't that good and doesn't posses special, once-in-generation, Tito Trinadad, Tommy Hearns power. And of all these changes that he makes. Those changes only surface when he's in the ring with an outclassed opponent. But when he's in the ring with top level guys, the same wild swinging, easy to hit, good but not great punching guy emerges. And that's obvious to anybody that knows WTF they're talking about.

he has never looked like he has in his last two fights in his whole career. I've watched all his fights, have you?

And, I never said he had atg power at ww. I said he is one of the hardest hitters at the current scene of ww, if his technique is sufficient and he doesn't gas, loop, or smother his punches.

So it seems, you DON'T know WTF you are talking about. Pity. Its ok, there have to be some clueless people around to make the smart ones look that much smarter. You serve a noble purpose.

when he gets the full length of his right hand behind that jab, I don't care what people say. that is a devastating punch. Far more devastating than anything in Broner's arsenal. Also when he turns over his overhand, that is another devastating punch, if he doesn't spend too much momentum looping it wide. Another punch far more devastating than anything in Broner's arsenal.

                  I agree with you 100%...

I was skeptical upon hearing of his drastic improvement...

But I must admit I've been highly impressed by what I've seen lately....

Broner could very well get WorldStar'd.
