Why doesn't Pac get the same credit for the Cotto win as Floyd's win over Canelo?

Why do you call pointing out the 145 CW as discrediting the win?

Many posters said Cotto could've been affected by having to lose the extra 2 lbs. Many of us also said if the 2 lbs was no big deal than why did Manny negotiate it. Those are legitimate questions.

In May, you and many other posters in this thread said the reason floyd got no credit for the Canelo fight is because he made Canelo come in at 152. You said floyd "did that to himself".

Both floyd and manny negotiated the CW's. I don't see how its different for one and not the other.

        He does.

I'm of the opinion that Cotto's weight no more affected the outcome of that fight, than Canelo's did in the Mayweather fight.

A lot of haters used to discredit the Cotto win because of the CW. IMO Pac would have still whoop his ass regardless. But thanks to Canelo its not as bad anymore.

            Come on.

There were other differences that even Floyd Sr pointed out BEFORE the fight. Floyd Sr said besides the size advantage, Cotto is technically too good and that Manny was going to lose.

Again, going by Floyd/Ellerbe/Sr .... Canelo was inexperienced, had stamina issues. Canelo had many weaknesses that they were aware of and were ready to exploit. The CW of 152 was just the cherry on top because Canelo already showed the signs against Trout.
