  • fast hands? Sushi chefs have fast hands too, maybe they get a shot at Floyd.

This is a joke fight and everyone knows it.

      Very true

I'd like to see how Floyd reacts if he feels he is down on the cards, he'd have no choice but to fight on the front foot.

Against brawlers -(which make up most of his opponents), he was on the backfoot because they didnt have the luxury to pot shot Floyd and go on the backfoot.

Khan plays his cards right he could land a few punches in a round and then go on the backfoot forcing Floyd to come out of his shell, as he'd feel he is down on the cards, thus making it very interesting

      • it's not a bad fight, but it is when your the king of the sport and you fight at the most two times a year! Khan is 2-2 last 4 and hasn't fought at welter.
if the fight happens May UD.

Bad hands/safety first. Khan survives this one he always gets up, and Mayweather don't have 1 punch KO power.

Khan does better than Nelo did but at this point the fight is not reputable.

But I would still like to see the fight, for one single reason - I wanna see how Floyd does against the fastest puncher in the game. Not because this is the hardest fight Floyd could take, but it would add a lot of variation to the kinds of opponents he has defeated - now a speedster would be added to his resume. And how would Floyd fight a guy like Khan? Would be interesting to see, I expect Floyd to get hit more than usual.

However. Khan needs to win 1 big fight first. If this fight happens now, Mayweather won't get much credit and Khan will be written off as finished, even if the next loss comes against the P4P number 1.
I agree. Khan should have fought Alexander first. The problem is that khan may not have beaten Alexander, and he definitely wont beat Porter. A second fight with Maidana would have been a good setup for Floyd.
I think Khan gives Floyd a good fight for the first 3 maybe 4 rounds, but after that it's over.

If Khan gets hurt, all that obviously goes out the window.
Khan has poor footwork predictable punches, and once fatigue fights without ring intelligence..Khan has no shot, and nothing to trouble Mayweather with..

I'd argue Garcia out-boxed Khan. He was timing Khan from round 2. Just because the fight ended early doesn't mean Khan wasn't outboxed.
Agree with this but looking at the kind of vulnerabilities Khan has shown repeatedly, Sr. will have Mayweather press him, walk him down whilst countering him, landing lead right hands/ or left hooks and working him up close eventually stopping him. Mayweather has used his legs very well lately but I see an Ortiz/ Mosley-like approach, except far more aggressive.

                This!

I just don't think VH is a good fit for Khan, I really hope Khan ditches every thing VH has told him and goes in there as the Khan of the wildcard. Fast, aggressive and throwing loads of punches.

Lets be clear. Mayweather Khan IS in fact garbage. A **** fight. A waste of time etc etc etc

However Khan does have speed that could give Mayweather some trouble. Yet after a few rounds it won't matter because he won't be accurate enough, have the timing, foot work and ring smarts to land. He will get hit, get pissed and probably walk right into an over hand right and do the moonwalk.

In a very small way I would love to see Khan get completely outclassed and embarrassed by Floyd, but not on PPV. I only say that because Floyd is fighting again in September.

I agree,if Khan was a different fighter he could trouble Mayweather..As it stands he has nothing for Mayweather..I do think it will be fun to watch, just cause Khan is going to be getting tagged left and right..Like Soy said,I see Mayweaher walking Khan down, taking the fight to the inside and stopping Khan within 4-6 rds..
