The saddest part about this entire thread is that Khan is much more justifiable as a Mayweather opponent than Maidana.

Mayweather-Khan is actually a good fight, but...

Many people say that Khan don't deserve the fight aganst Floyd and they're kinda right. But I would still like to see the fight, for one single reason - I wanna see how Floyd does against the fastest puncher in the game. Not because this is the hardest fight Floyd could take, but it would add a lot of variation to the kinds of opponents he has defeated - now a speedster would be added to his resume. And how would Floyd fight a guy like Khan? Would be interesting to see, I expect Floyd to get hit more than usual.

However. Khan needs to win 1 big fight first. If this fight happens now, Mayweather won't get much credit and Khan will be written off as finished, even if the next loss comes against the P4P number 1.

It's not a good fight. Khan has speed, but none of the intelligence or skill to make it matter. A round or two and Mayweather will have the speed figured.

Obviously you, the only way this fight will be "good" is if khan wears headgear and mayweather has one hand tied behind his back.

I mean come on dude even the die hard mayweather fans didn't even bother defending this fight because there is no way to justify it. Number 1 pound for pound best fighter in the world, who only has 4 fights left, should be taking on the best right now.

You think Khan gets out-boxed? Maybe he will, but I've never seen it happen. Timing beats speed, but the sheer handspeed of Khan (far in excess of Judah) should ensure it's competitive.

If Khan gets hurt, all that obviously goes out the window.
