its amazing to see the perspectives of long ago and today. The only runner I really liked was Cassius CLAY ALI,,,,,,, he fought like H### !! all the while he slipped shots.

Let me point out that Duran Leonard Hearns Benitez Hagler all fought each other in their primes. I don't think Ben fought Hag.

Their legacys will last until its all over in the boxing annuls of time and glory. IT won't be so much about who won, it will be ABOUT that THEY were prime elites and didn't DUCK one another !!!!!!!

May JR had better do something for his legacy, the die hard old boxing fans KNOW BETTER than to be fooled by his antics over the past ten years. JR has AVOIDED ALL THREATS

There is ONE that can revive his LEGACY,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,"""""MAYBE"""""??????

JR needs a rivalry and it should have happened 4 years ago with Pac.

Jr needed it more than Pac.

Pac has done more in boxing than anyone in boxing history even if he gets KO'd in the Rios fight !!!!!!!!!! Personally I think Rios gets KO'd and if he does there will be a revival of lets see Pac vs JR.

Every generation should get to see great rivalry's like the LEONARD DURAN era.

Whens its ALL OVER , its good to see two men let it go embrace and go their ways

They gave us great drama and great fights

we will see one Sat nite , I have the Siberian EXPRESS !!!!!! by KO of course
    wow!

You actually think the "No Mas" fight is somehow related to floyd/pac. Damn! Now thats sad

You are one D###### ! Can't you even Read ?

You must be a young squirt because you can't see what I was saying.

      I SAID:

There were prime elites namely Duran Leonard Hearns and Benitez that fought each other, add Hagler in there.

Those guys built their legacys fighting each other not ducking each other.

JR needs to fight threats to have a legacy worth reading about, he don't need the legacy that reads that he ducked all the major threats.

JR needs Pac in our times today NOT duck him like he has for the past 4 years.

Is that hard to understand ???????

And while everyone is talking about QUITTING , I have two questions for you:

#1 Why would a man or dog QUIT while on TOP ?

#2 HOW do you Duran haters feel about Roger Mayweather QUITTING on his stool with his DA#N head hanging down ?

I thought the espn no mas was pretty great, showed some great old footage.

But the ending was awful. It was like Leonard himself paid for the entire thing the way they made Duran out to be a bad guy. The way Leonard said he forgave him and acted like he was on a hugher pedestal than Duran.

Duran is a top 10 fighter of all time, even towards the end of his career he knocked out Iran Barkley which historally is just a ridiculously good win. Duran doesn't need to ask no one in this sport for acceptance or for an apology.

And he sure as heck doesn't owe Leonard a damn thing. Dude beat Leonard the first time and had to wait 10 years for a rematch after he lost the 2nd fight. Duran don't owe anyone ****.

Being a huge Leonard fan, I'm biased but I thought he won that first fight. Probably I'm wrong, I'll have to watch and actually score it again, but people act like Duran kicked his ass and he did not. It was damn close. And I don't know what's so hard to understand but Duran was so hot tempered and incredibly frustrated that he just quit without thinking about it. Doesn't matter if that fight was still close, he just couldn't take it and did it out of anger and frustration.

Oh, the ending was cheesy but it could have been interesting if they had just had them sit down in chairs and relax. Maybe Duran would have loosened up but I doubt it. He's a tough, proud guy and he wasn't going to admit to quitting.

You know what I find funniest about this entire thing? No one ever mentions that they had a 3rd fight lol. I didn't even know until I looked up their history together.

the ending was edited because duran was making so many excuses (even still till this day the excuses are plentiful) he claimed that he was injected with something to lose weight (what the ****) it's probably best that they edited that because it sounds bad on his part.

the truth of the matter is he quit because he couldn't deal with the style in the 2nd fight. duran has never been able to admit that........even the panama fans see through the excuses. first it was cramps, then it was his arms being too weak (his body was weakening and he didn't feel like he would be able to last through 15 rounds is what he said) then it was leonard not fighting like a macho man. excuse after excuse after excuse............not to mention that leonord was fighting fire with fire in the 1st fight and never even thought about quitting (he fought durans fight in the 1st bout) as ray says "i would have rather died in that first fight then to quit" but duran quits in the 2nd bout because the style is too much for him O.O.........thats telling.
