Comments Thread For: Pacquiao's Adviser Devalues Bradley For "Boring" Win

“Fighter of the Decade” Manny Pacquiao’s adviser Michael Koncz wasn’t impressed with Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley’s split decision win over Juan Manuel Marquez at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas - and has effectively devalued Bradley.

Koncz, on instructions of Pacquiao, offered Bradley $6 million for a rematch and offered Marquez $13 million for a fifth fight, both of which were turned down as they decided to face-off against each other for much less money, told BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard he personally thought “it was a very boring fight.”

He argued that “as we expected, Bradley did not show anything that warrants anything more than a $5 million purse” which effectively means that he has devalued Bradley’s worthiness as an attractive opponent for Pacquiao despite the fact that he beat Marquez who had scored a crushing 6th round knockout over Pacquiao at the MGM Grand Garden Arena last December 8. Bradley got what Pac never could, a decisive win over JMM, now they act like that's not worth anything. This fight makes sense, but they know Bradley would win again. That's why Arum and Koncz are avoiding it.

If this is how he's treated by his promoter, with Arum giving him a shot at Rios but protecting his cash cow. Then Bradley should leave TR ASAP

Team Pacquiao's "disinterest" in a Bradley rematch is telling me that secretly, they probably feel that Bradley performed better in the first fight than most in the boxing world feel he did. And instead oof "righting the wrong" that happen in the first fight, they would rather act publically as if they are genuinely satisfied with Pac's quasi victory and go in another direction. Its realy a shame too. Because if JMM doesn't want Pac next, Pac's likely next opponent will be Alvarado, win or lose this weekend. And Arum plans on having a Bradey-Provodnikov rematch in hopes that Ruslan wins this time and completely devalues Timmy when his Top Rank contract expires.

Koncz is a donut!! I think its funny how people discredit Bradleys wins. Mayweather has been in far too many boring fights and he is hailed as a god. A win is a win!! Fairplay to Bradley!!!

Im glad that Konzc said this, because Bradley doesnt want to fight Pac anyways. He's going to try to get out of his contract so he can go to golden boy. All this jive about him being boring, and them wanting to doc his pay, is going to work against them. And Bradley will not be excited about fighting Rios and Prov. He wants to fight real fighters, and have more control over his career. I cant wait till he leaves, because I think he can beat Golden boy's whole roster.

Pacquiao, assuming he beats Rios and looks good doing so, should fight Bradley again. It's a really good option.

But had Marquez won that "boring " fight, no doubt they'd be begging for Pac-Marquez V. They know Bradley will box Manny's ears off like he did the championship rounds of the first fight.

Bradley could care less whether he gets to fight Pac again or not. They have been overpaying Bradley to compensate for him being unhappy, and being forced to fight bum nobody fighters. People forget how Bradley was on a layoff because Arum didnt have any ww's for him to fight. Then he ended up fighting Prov. What name fighter would want to fight a nobody like Prov, then almost lose to him? Then his stock goes down just from the L. Bradley will leave soon anyway.

pure bitter jealousy because bradley beat the man that gave pacquiao a cup of (SLEEPY TIME) tea.

lmao at the people responding here

                    floyd stans are their best

pac has already beat marquez, the third fight was decisive, just because you stans keep discrediting him does not change reality, pac ws expected to kill marquez, because he only won the rounds 60-40, you guys somehow made it a pac loss, pac outlanded marquez in power punches, clean punches and jabs in nearly every round, wake up

also lol at tim boxing mannys ear off, seriously, there is a reason 99 percent of press row had pac winning

bradley did beat marquez but he certainly should have let his hands go a bit more, anyone with half a brain could see that he was out classing jmm, he still won but bradley like floyd and hopkins is a boring boxer, he needs to get his balance right, he is very good but in the fight against pov he was over the top but against marquez it was not enough, i think in time bradley will produce better shows

bradley should duck pac like he did before, he ran for 12 rounds last time and knows this time pac will not leave it in the hands of judges to rob him
