IMO the ideal matchup between both is Kovalev-Ward and Golovkin-Martinez

The "Soviet" fighters win both fights.

GGG trainer said they sparred before and that Kovalev was either scared or showed GGG too much respect in sparring. So that ended the sparring.

              Ask Golovkin, not his trainer.

I agree. Not because they're "Soviet" fighters, obviously. I can't see the Martinesz against Murray troubling Golovkin and saying Kovalev beats Ward truly says a lot about Kovalev. Ward would and should be the favorite in any fight at 168-175.... but I've said this for a while now, the one guy I truly think beats Ward is Kovalev.

Ward-Golovkin would be a far easier fight for Ward then KOvalev IMO
