I never ask a fighter to admit defeat especially immediately after the fight. So Marquez can believe what he wants to but when push comes to shove, he never officially got that 5th division title.

After watching the fight a second time, it really was a close bout with many rounds that depending on each judge appreciation could go either way. I think JMM is going to retire after this fight and even when some haters and/or fans of Pacquiao disagree, Marquez is a sure firs ballot HOF and ATG. Bradley is a solid champ who had the discipline and sticked to the fight plan and never gave Marquez a chance but Tim shouldn't have an undefeated record since he clearly lost against Manny and arguably to Provodnikov.

You could look at in two different perspectives:

WHO landed the power

Who landed the jabs

Bradley was quick, looked quicker than before, was able to get away from that big right hand shot.

if it weren't for those jabs in the second to the 6th then Marquez would have won.

Not my flavor but the Jabs won it.

Reminds of Cotto right after the Mayweather fight. He felt it was a close fight and may have won and spoke on it. I think just like Cotto Marquez will have a chance to re watch the fight and see that he clearly lost a decision this time.

I'm a Marquez fan, but he clearly lost that fight. Bradley controlled the fight and the only rounds Marquez really looked good in were 1, 11, and 12 (until he almost got knocked down). Great career Marquez, but he looked old in the ring against Bradley so it might be time to start thinking about hanging it up. I really don't want him going out like RJJ.
