I don't have a problem with pochos that call themselves Mexicans, but being Mexican is more than just a bloodline. It's cultural and nationalistic. For example Margarito was born in Torrance CA, but he was raised in Tijuana making him Mexican and fully accepted. De La Hoya was born in L.A. and was raised in East L.A. before joining the American team and fighting against Mexicans in the Olympics.
He's about as Mexican as Juan Diaz which according to Juan Manuel Marquez is only 50%
