peter needs to pipe down man he hasnt fought any grade A fighters. i thought he had potential but he is already 30 and still hasnt fought anyone. i like him he's decent at best but martinez was injured his last 2 fights. a healthy martinez plays with peter then possibly ko's him late. to much movement, experience, and power

Cube you think quillin gives a "healthy" martinez problems. martinez is much to fast, experienced, and strong for the unproven quillin. i think rosado will give quillin problems. there two diffrent class fighters manComment

Murray shouldn't have shelled up in the first 4-5 rounds nor gone survival mode the last 2. He didn't come with the mentality to win the fight, he was very fortunate that Sergio re-injured his knee and broke his left, otherwise Murray could have very well been stopped. Quillin's workrate isn't great either so I wouldn't be surprised if Murray beat him.Comment

Murray won the fight, he also scored a couple of KD's, one was pushed under the rug by the ref.
Murray beat Martinez, he was the better fighter. He just didn't get the decision because it was in Argentina. I expected no less.Comment

Correction, Murray LOST and in your crude opinion, you think he should have gotten the decision. He clearly stepped on Sergio's foot for the first knockdown and hit Sergio behind the ear (a clear illegal blow) for the second "knockdown."He didn't come with the mentality to win yet he still won.

Murray was not the better fighter, he was fortunate that Sergio came into the fight badly injured. He didn't let his hands go enough to win the majority of the rounds and did not show a winning mentality.
Scoring the fight round by round you'll see that Sergio clearly won rounds 1-4, 7, 11, 12. Murray won rounds 6, 8, and 10 in clear fashion. Rounds 5 and 9 could have gone either way. Thus, if you were biased for Murray you would score it 114-113 (7-5) Martinez and if you were biased for Sergio you would score it 116-111 (9-3) Martinez. I find no controversy with the judges scoring of 115-112 (8-4) if you spread the 50/50 rounds (5 & 9) evenly. At best for Murray (and reaching), I could maybe see someone giving the 4th round to Murray and scoring the fight 114-113 Murray. However, I thought Sergio won the 4th round soundly, scoring the hardest punch of the round (a clean overhand left) while Murray's strongest punch of the round was a low blow uppercut; Sergio was also much more active in that round, much like he was in the preceding three rounds.
Polls on this site showed that most people on the site thought Sergio won the fight. I think because Sergio considerably underperformed when compared to what we're used to seeing from him made some people feel he did worse than he really did--in this case the difference from winning a close fight to losing it.Comment
