Comments Thread For: Alexander Plans To Do Damage in Porter Grudge Match

Kevin Cunningham, the manager and trainer of IBF welterweight champion Devon Alexander (25-1, 14KOs), tells BoxingScene.com that his fighter is going to punish undefeated Shawn Porter (22-0-1, 14KOs) on November 30th in San Antonio, Texas. The fight had been finalized to headline a Showtime televised doubleheader.

There is some bad blood between the two camps. Back in April, Shawn's father/trainer Ken Porter told BoxingScene.com that his son got cheated when the two boxers fought in the amateurs.

"We owe Devon an ass-whooping - because when Shawn was eight-years-old, Kevin lied to me and said Devon was eight, and he was [actually] ten, and they fought and Devon beat us.

Alexander always "plans" to do damage. Then he ends up slapping and grunting. Guy must have a lot of kinky sex, as much as he likes to slap and grunt.

            This fight will be awful.

Was hoping Alexander had a better opponent.

Alexander will take this fairly easily I believe.

Alexander is one of the most underrated fighters in boxing, he went from being heavily overrated before the Bradley fight to being completely disregarded afterwards, he has skills.

                    Spot on right here.

Devon should win easily, but what gets me is why this fight is in San Antonio where it will draw nobody when Devon draws thousands in St. Louis. Oh well not my money on the line.
