He sounded very detached about it, you would think if he had a potential stake he would've indicated or said something about Khan needing to beat someone else (or him).

In saying that, if Garcia's not rematching Matthysse, Khan would make sense unless he's waiting to see if Provodnikov wins - which even them I'm not sure he'd be keen on.

That said, this isn't happening unless Mayweather has someone else in mind for May
    February too close?

Maybe bradley if he beats jmm and leaves Top rank,,,,, I think he is a free agent after this,,,
Look for the judges to screw bradley, my gut feeling
Bradley is contracted until mid-2014. To be honest, he didn't seem in a mad rush to leave TR when I heard him speak on it.

No way this happens. The business model is to build opponents for Floyd. Not match them against each other.

And before someoneresponds with "They've already fought", Garcia was supposed to be a tuneup/replacement when he fought Khan the first time.

This is a very sound match up since both parties interests are represented by the same manager/agent Al Haymon. Additionally, since both are vying and feel like they have earned a shot at challenging Mayweather for his next bout. Also, given Garcia's victory over Matthysse and Khan's lengthy ongoing discussions about a potential showdown with Money May over the past several months; Then it's only necessary and practical for these two to face off in an elimination bout, in order to determine who would be Floyd's next opponent.

I like it, I really hope its true. The hype for this rematch would make it a big draw as Angel will not hold back against Khan this time.
I honestly think Khan will win this if he has the right gameplan. He can box circles around Garcia but can also get caught with a bomb and it could be lights out again.

This is the best scenario for Floyd and GBP. The khan fight makes more money that the garcia fight. They can't sell the khan fight the way he's been looking though. They have fall back options for either loser though. If khan loses throw him in there wity devon still. If danny loses rematch with lucas. I don't think they want to have floyd vs devon because it won't sell. If they keep decon in the wings they can buy out bradley his contract is up soon. Sign bradley rematch with devon bradley wins then they sell bradley mayweather. Bradleys not a seller but he's a viable ppv name. Its actually preferable for khan to win so they can have the lucas danny rematch gets more rarings makes the winners name moee notable for Floyd.

Bradley would be good especially if he beats Marquez.

He might not have been in talks then, hypothetically. Even if he was, saying Khan's can have a good fight with Mayweather could (for arguments sake) be hyping him up if he beats him again.

I would say Feb is too close to May yeah.

Khan has always wanted this rematch ! More than Vic wants Donaire! Its been burning him up inside. I remember when he was doing a post fight interview, and he knew Garcia was sitting in the audiance. He goes, if I fight him again, I will knock him out .

Garcia has to watch it...when a boxer takes a humiliating loss and gets a rematch, he tends to get in cheapshot if he knows he's about to lose again !

When Barrera got his rematch for the Pacman beating, he knew it was another lose so he took the opportunity to get in an intentional headbutt!

I wonder who is advising Khan. Beating Alexander does put you in the mix. They going after Garcia again because he still looks so beatable. Alexander does not adjust in a fight

LOL
The Guerrero fight didn't get announced until the very end of February and still went down in early May. Floyd/Canelo was announced in late May so there was only 3 months between the announcement and the fight.
Garcia/Khan II could easily happen in mid to late January with plenty of time to announce the winner getting Floyd in May. Its not like there will be some long negotiation, Floyd will make the offer and either will jump at whatever payday they get...
