Comments Thread For: Adamek-Glazkov Headed To Turning Stone Resort Casino

The Nov. 16 heavyweight fight that’ll pit Poland’s Tomasz Adamek against Ukraine’s Vyacheslav Glazkov has a site, according to promoter Main Events.

The Adamek-Glazkov bout will take place at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, N.Y. The IZOD Center in East Rutherford, N.J., and Sands Casino Resort in Bethlehem, Pa., also were considered for a card headlined by a 12-round elimination match that’ll be broadcast by NBC on a Saturday afternoon.

adamek & main events cherry picking their way to wlad? declines a fight in a IBF eliminator with pulev. after pulev he is named mandatory for beating Thompson. adamek then decides to get back in there in a much easier eliminator then he would of faced against pulev. this is the part of boxing I hate. adamek declined an eliminator he should have lost his ranking in the top 10. same goes with Jennings...just my opinion... I like adamek but he is clearly taking the path of least resistance to another title shot.

yep, that's true. He has zero chance against Wlad, anyway...

Isn't everyone? David Haye, despite promising to fight three times by the middle of 2014, hasn't stepped inside the ring since 2012. Tyson Fury backed out of a Pulev eliminator. Boytsov continues to evade all contenders. Helenius hasn't recovered from the Chisora fight and is embroiled in legal disputes. Pretty much every HW, aside from Pulev and, commendably, Arreola, are content with being inactive or fighting nobodies.

Back on topic. Adamek is done. Vitali finished him at HW; you can't blame him for taking a couple of easy fights. BTW, I fancy Glaskov yo beat Tomas. He'll probably get robbed though.

i'm not sure what to think of glazkov. seen him a few times & thought he clearly lost to scott but that was only one fight. I can't see adamek losing to him but you never know. once douglas beat Tyson I realized anything can happen...
