Prime Marquez couldn't beat Norwood. Why would past prime Marquez beat Bradley?

That Marquez was too defensive and didn't really risks alot during his fights. He started being more offensive at the latter stages of his career and that's really why he lost that fight because Norwood wasn't giving him any opportunities to counter and was on the defensive throught. And honestly the only similarities between Norwood and Bradley is that of their race. Totally different fighters because Bradley gets reckless and not that hard to hit.Comment

Freddie Norwood was an excellent boxer. If you want to see the most foul-filled fight in the past 20 years look up Norwood-Gainer. The ref and Gainer together were too much for Norwood.
Marquez was also beaten by Chris John. Scott Mallon fro Ring magazine was there and reported that John won well. He said that in rounds John won 8-4. In a post-fight interview, Marquez said that he thought the fight was close and that John was an excellent boxer. He also gave a variety of different reasons for losing, one of which was the the rain the night before made the canvas slippery.
Also one of the Maxboxing guys was vacationing there and went to see the fight. He scored it 116-111. It was either Kim or Fischer, I always get them mixed up.Comment
