what the hell are you talking about posting this thread? Hopkins said he would fight Wright if he beat Taylor. People had been talking Hopkins vs. Taylor up for over 3 years so obviously it was the fight to make. Plus Taylor was undefeated and looking amazing (still is). PLUS Hopkins had a vendetta against Lou DiBella. Why the **** would he fight Winky?

the way i remembered it worked was Hopkins felt Taylor would be the easier of the two (good call) and then said he'd fight Wright after Taylor.

Because he has been in Winkys shoes before and you would think he would give a veteran who took the long road like him before letting some young buck who really did not and to me still has not proven he is that great.......Good yes but not great.I am still bitter about the first fight you just can't take a title from the guy based on what Taylor did in that fight.........

Thats questionable.............I don't want to get into it all over again but I will say there is no way Taylor WON that fight but a draw would have been fair.

there is no money fighting winky wright, i wouldn't fight him for my farewell fight...there is no point.

that and there is and was no real point to fight winky, it's a boring fight period.
