There's also no real money in the fight. Quigg could defend at home and make more. Kiko Martinez is quite well known here after fights with Munroe and Frampton.

If Quigg fought Martinez they could do a comparison between the Frampton fights.

Then again Martinez could well lose against Mathebula.

I don't blame them for avoiding Rigo.

Assuming he beats Agbeko I think he should fight Mathebula/Kiko next.

That makes sense and would be good.

Lot's of good fights out there for Rigondeaux.

Fair point in my opinion Rigo is super high risk and low reward. Why on earth would Quigg choose to fight Rigondeaux right now? There is a number of fights he could have at home which pay considerably more with less capable fighters. A Frampton fight would be massive domestically, Martinez would be a big fight and unification, Galahad would probably make him decent money too.

Or he could fight a p4p contender for peanuts on a Top Rank PPV undercard as an 'opponent'... tough choice that!

To be fair, Quigg has already sparred Rigondeaux and he did fine. Sparring is not the same as a fight of course. It could be a fight further down the line when there's more experience in the bank.

Quigg - Frampton is one I really want to see.
