I wouldn't mind seeing this fight, good pay day for both and two of the bigger 'names' of this generation getting it on. I don't see the size being too big a factor, if Duran could move up and go the distance with hagler (and beat Barkley), cotto could last it out with Sergio. I wouldn't want the middleweight title to be on the line if the fight wernt at 160 and cotto wernt going to defend it. I don't think it's right for fighters to just be granted titles (and landmark acchievements in this case) because of there names (jmm 140 wbo, morales 140 WBC). It wouldn't be right for cotto to be able to call himself 'the' middleweight champ, when guys like ggg, quillin, Murray etc would beat him. Especially since ggg and quillin haven't been given the chance to become 'the man'.

did you even see it or was it a typo
I saw it but can only remember that Kermit got hit with a big punch from Sergio which he thought was a headbutt hahahaha. At the end he was the winner so somehow the judges felt he won. Again is Kermit better than Cotto????

That is why I see Cotto winning this one and of course both Martinez and Cotto are on the down side of the hill right at this moment on their career.

Both these guys deserve every penny from the ppv buyers. I'd happily pay for a ppv with these two pitted against one another.

I think Martinez, if he's 80% of his former self, would be a little too much for Cotto. But Cotto would make it a helluva fight

As of now what do u think his signature victory is, or the closest thing to one?

I thought he was at his brilliant best vs Shane Mosley and his most dramatic win would be the shoot out with Ricardo Torres but the revenge win over Antonio Margarito who really changed the course of Miguel's career with his own questionable win was his signature win for me. A True grudge match after their tainted modern classic first encounter, PR vs MEX in front of a packed partisan crowd and the immortal line - "He mean Nothing To Me"

I think Mosley and Margarito II are both very good wins, but a victory over Sergio stands alone on his resume. Lineal MW champ.

I think it would be the judah and mosely wins from 07.. established him as a legit ppv star.....

personally i will always remember cotto for his early wins like vs maussa, torres, chop chop, pauli, pinto, etc
