At this point I think Martinez is done. He has a style that depends in athleticism to avoid getting hit so much. His legs are done and if i were Cotto I would negotiate a 157 catch weight. I say he has a great **** at taking the belt.

Lets not forget Martinez has fast hands, power in both hands and can fight in the pocket as well ...once again if Cotto can pull it off then HE IS THE MAN

It'd be an interesting PPV but I really don't see how Cotto would win the fight. Everyone's banking on Martinez being "old" and that means Cotto would win. But Martinez is still bigger, faster, and hits harder than Cotto. Plus, it's at an even higher weight class. How would Cotto be favored in any way?

No way. Two years ago I would agree with you. The problem is Martinez skills are deteriorating and it's happening fast. His body is breaking down. Martinez fan but I'm just being honest. Where there both at in this stage in there careers would make for and epic battle. No doubt about it

It should be a fan friendly fight, both fighters are rarely in dull fights.

sounds like a good event to me, I already checked how much a trip might be. sergio is obviously a special fighter so it's a tough opponent for Cotto, but that's right up his alley. love this fight or cotto v jmm

I agree with you, it would be a great fight between them two. I would love it to be in the South Florida area. There is an enormous Puerto Rican and Argentinian population down here in the Miami area.
