Since when did Bradley become Fast?

i wouldnt neccessarily call him fast, but he's an athletic fighter. he moves well.

it's being brought up because he'll be best suited to use his legs. bradley's speed relative to marquez' will be a huge advantage. it may be his only advantage.

he's faster than marquez, for sure. marquez' legs have been slowing for years now. in his prime he used them a bit. today he's taking small steps and almost always flat footed.

bradley's legs will cause marquez problems. before the pacqauio / provodnikov fights i would have picked bradley on pts. today i am shading marquez to put his punches together down the stretch and stop bradley in a war.


this fight might be a flat out war. bradley might get his work done and win with his legs, but if he cannot it's going to be a hellacious fight.



if bradley's "speed" [movement] isn't enough to beat marquez, he's getting knocked out.

This fight depends on how Bradley fights..Jmm can not deal with movement and needs to to come forward to be at his best..Bradley can make this a boring fight and win easily..but if he tries to brawl then Juan will eat him alive...

Can't deal with movement? What in the Blue Hell are you talking about? He fought pac 4 ***ing times if there is any one that moves offensively better then anyone else in boxing it's Pac! Make your own threads about Floyd not in mine. Second bradley is nowhere near as gifted as Floyd so yeah not a very good analogy sir! Im not sure if you are very familiar with Marquez but prior to Pac he took a lot of heat for being a boring fighter so no I really think turning this into a tactical fight is all wrong for Bradley. He's not the tactician that Marquez is in any way shape or form.

Thats all fine and dandy, but you called me a dummy for saying that jmm gets hit in the face alot, and bradley would be able to hit him,,, jmm is no speedster, he just has great determination and the best counter combos in all of boxing,,, if you attack him, you can land, but be prepared for the hellstorm of combos that follows....

Jmm is the best fighter since prime chavez to be able to take a shot and then deliver his own more powerful shot....

And yes jmm has the heart and guts of gatti, but is just way more skilled,,

But you're right, JMM isn't a defensive wizard, what he is great at is counterpunching and timing opponents. You don't have to be full on defence like Pea or Floyd do be a great technical boxer, JMM is a great technical boxer...who likes going to war. He's Mexican, what more do people expect?

In terms of Bradley being fast, he has pretty decent handspeed and solid reflexes but he isn't a speed demon ala Pacquiao or RJJ etc. What Bradley does is what JMM does, they are both good counterpunchers who have sound fundamentals yet both like to go to war. This fight will be fun, whoever wins.

I am a JMM fan and I've come to like Bradley, both men give fans their money's worth. I reckon Bradley wins because he is younger, faster than Marquez and has the better back foot game when he needs to use it. With JMM in Hulk mode, if Bradley goes to war, he will get rocked and possibly stopped but if he maintains his cool, he can outbox Marquez, especially in the championship rounds.
