He was taking Mikey's punches better and started to get himself back before the headbutt. Mikey was beating Salido handily but Mikey had never been 12 rounds and Salido usually gets stronger as the fight goes on. I'd like to see a rematch, the end result of that fight left a bad taste in my mouth.

Good observation. One thing, though, that headbutt did not look accidental to me!

Nothing wrong with the ex champ getting an immediate shot at getting his belt back, in lieu of rematch, since that's not available.

I did notice Mikey seemed bothered by the punching power later in the fight. Salido was being outclassed, but he started putting punches together that seemed to get Garcia's respect.

I talked to a friend who lives blocks away of the Salido house, and he say me that Salido got a Broken Hands 1 or 2 week ago the fight, on a bar fight. Its not an excuse, its what i heard.

Maybe so. He just still seemed to be getting surgically picked apart to me, all fight long, until the butt.

No RE-Match. Salido didn't even come close to beating Mikey. He needs to move on like juanma has.

I saw the fight live at the Garden and Mikey looked like he was 2 divisions bigger than Salido.

By the time the fight ended it looked like Salido was starting to catch up to Mikey with the pressure and the right hands. Mikey does get hit with the right hand and Salido was letting it fly
