  • Comments Thread For: Orlando Salido Wants Rematch With Mikey Garcia at 130

BoxingScene.com recently spoke to former featherweight champion Orlando "Siri" Salido. The Sonora, Mexico native is just days away from facing Orlando Cruz for the vacant WBO featherweight title. Salido said that he had a great camp and is looking forward to returning to the ring.

"We had a great training camp. I had to really work on my legs in camp. I am not getting any younger and I have been through some difficult fights so I wanted to make sure I was ready. My legs are ready to go and I feel great," Salido explained.

Even tho Mikey did took the cowards way out in the end, the fight wasn't very competitive,no reason for another fight.

I think that if Orlando Salido wins this Saturday in an impressive manner, then a rematch with Mikey Garcia at 130 would be resonable. With that said, Salido needs to stay focused on Orlando Cruz right now.

You're getting Lomo or Donaire next when you beat Cruz.

The first fight wasn't very competitive and I don't believe Salido was staging a comeback when the fight was stopped. Rather see them both fight new opponents.

He was taking Mikey's punches better and started to get himself back before the headbutt. Mikey was beating Salido handily but Mikey had never been 12 rounds and Salido usually gets stronger as the fight goes on. I'd like to see a rematch, the end result of that fight left a bad taste in my mouth.

Easy work for Mikey, Would rather see him fight Lomachenko.
