Cotto was hurt by Trout and Mayweather.

Martinez decapitates him unless he's completely shot.
Calling him hurt against Trout is a bit of an overstatement. Mayweather clearly rocked him in the 12th, but unless I'm forgetting it, I don't remember Trout clearly hurting him.

    Martinez isn't exactly iron-chinned either.

He wasn't badly hurt but he was stunned/wobbled by Trout he's not a hard puncher at all.

If you're getting stunned by Trout and hurt by Mayweather then you're in big trouble against Martinez.

Maybe it's because he's broken a hand in each of his last two fights, but it looks like he lost something off his fastball.

If Cotto is going to do this and that to Martinez, then I'm sure he won't need a shitty ass catch weight right?

I am confident Cotto will destroy Martinez. Will make a bet thread soon.

Sure thing Rodriguez, Martinez actually uses his reach unlike you. I think it would be interesting to see what he would say about Martinez after a fight with him.

I would favor serg for 1 reason

his southpaw stance will neutralize cotto's left hook

but if the serg that fought murray shows up vs the cotto that fought delvin, i like cotto's chances,
It will be an entertaining fight, and would be a great tune-up for serg, especially since he is on a collision course vs ggg...
cotto will stalk serg much like how ggg would...

I think its a great fight for all involved

I'm a big fan of both, but Martinez has struggled with Murray an the 3 minutes of the Chavez fight, both of those guys were considerably bigger that Sergio.

If they were to fight, Martinez would be the naturally bigger man, and unless he's completely wrecked I see him stopping Cotto in rounds 6-8.
The size advantage is overplayed. When's the last time cotto stepped into the ring with somebody smaller than him? Hell, trout is bigger than Martinez.

-Martinez will have an inch or two on cotto....who doesnt/hasn't? Just another day, another fight for cotto as far as that goes.

-Martinez will walk out to the ring weighing 167-70, and got to will be in the low to mid 60's. The size advantage is negligible, and the fight will be determined elsewhere. Martinez is a slick southpaw with power in both hands, but has never faced a guy as skilled as cotto. He keeps his hands down, and cotto is a master at timing with his jab, throwing it at awkward times, etc. The biggest difference will be if cotto is an aggressive bull, or a passive boxer. Training with Freddie, things are looking promising.

Long story short, it'll be a great fight. Just lol at thinking cotto gets knocked out in 6-8.

Bet small because your probably going to lose , speed kills and Sergio can box a clear win against Cotto , Miguel only destroys Jennings Gomez and Rodriguez class fighters I think he will have loads of trouble against Sergio at 160 .
