I know which I'd prefer to be able to say

And it's not like Quigg did win either

Salinas did ****e in the second half for sure but maybe has an excuse and made it good enough to be a draw away from home
A rematch is certainly not in the slightest an outrageous idea
Quigg will say that because he won't make excuses. I'd prefer not to make excuses unless I could actually back them up.

A rematch is kinda pointless from Quigg's point of view. Salinas was his mandatory, he fulfilled it. Most thought he won. There are bigger fights out there for him.

The only person a rematch benefits is Salinas which is why I suspect we're hearing these "injured hand" stories coming out.

So who's Quigg gonna fight a voluntary with then? Frampton, Santa Cruz. My bet is Rendall Munroe or Kid Gallahad.

Second half though yeah I agree
Bit of an overstatement. I had it 4-2 after 6. Not like Salinas was boxing his ears off, it was very tit for tat with Salinas landing the slightly better and cleaner shots.

Scott held his own and snatched a couple of early rounds imo. This with what 11 or 12 amateur contests behind him. Quigg is class and still improving

He deserved this win to be clear and not clouded by the myth of a draw, just ruined the feel of the night imo. Not a Hellish robbery, the rounds were close but the Bury man deserved the win. Least he kept his title and my mate won big £ on a draw

I don't mean to say he put on a master class or something
But he boxed and landed as you say slighter better and cleaner shots -through superior boxing- and thereby winning those rounds
I don't think saying Quigg boxed with him is accurate without saying that it didn't pay off. Bullying him however i was saying the whole time whilst ever he's throwing single shots or a couple salinas will made him look an idiot, which he largely did though not capitalising on it
As soon as Quigg stepped it up he game changed

He's acting like they won the fight, they didn't.

                They should rematch him.

Quigg's "world title" has been "upgraded" by drawing with an unranked contender.

                Speaks for itself.

Sorry but I didn't see anything in the final 6 to make me feel bad for Salinas, unlike feeling genuinely aggrieved for Beltran after Burns. Quigg didn't look bamboozled by the cute cuban, he just seemed to start slow. Scott's body shots were excellent.

Hand injury doesn't wash with me.

Had a hunt through boxrec yesterday, any idea who Quigg might fight on the Froch/Groves undercard if this undesirable rematch doesn't happen?
