    Arum hints Rigo-Lomachenko if...

Lomachenko beats Ramirez on Saturday and claims a title in January.

just read this in Dan Rafaels blog

Although the fast path was Lomachenko's idea, he was not interested in discussing it.

"I'm not thinking about the second bout," Lomachenko said. "I am concentrating on Saturday and on Jose Ramirez, who is in front of me. I need to win this bout first."

Lomachenko might not want to look ahead, but Arum sure does.

If Lomachenko wins Saturday and claims a title in January, Arum wants him to defend against another one of his fighters, junior featherweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux, in the spring.

"Can you imagine that? These two guys, with four gold medals between them, two of the greatest amateurs ever, fighting each other?" Arum said. "That's never happened before, two guys with two gold medals fighting. I think if it's handled right, it could be a big fight."

Agreed, but Lomo taking on Rigo that early in his career seems over-the-top. Beyond that, I don't see Guille fighting at 126. He's not even a natural 122. I don't know...I guess we'll see soon enough. 2014 isn't that far away.

I would consider this promotional talk by Arum and something he has no intention of ever doing. Although Arum knows how good Rigondeaux is so he wants to associate those names early on so people think this was an option.

It will never happen though, either Arum will keep them apart Lopez-Gaboa style or he will let Ringondeaux walk and not return any calls from whoever gets him.

If Lomo beats Rigo in his third fight and retires, he is HOF

Good question, there isn't a place that seems a natural for it.

I don't think he'll fight at FW either. He's perfect for 122. Still, depending on how Lomo translates as a pro, the idea of the fight is very intriguing.

Well Rigo didn't really work his way up the normal way either, he got a title fight in his 6th fight after not fighting anybody.

Not sure if serious on the rest of that
