I wonder will people call Canelo a hypocrit like they did Floyd. In one sentence he says I won't do a catchweight again because I learned from the Mayweather fight not to give advantages but then goes on to say I'll fight Martinez because they can fight at a catchweight because Martinez is willing to fight lower than 160. That's still a catch weight right???????

The guy really captivated me in the lead up to the Floyd fight. I hope he can prove he is the real deal and get some good wins next year.

Canelo (who came at 172 lb in the Trout fight) wants to lure Martinez below 160... Alvarez must be afraid of Sergio as he wants the badly injured old man to fight under the middleweight limit...

Good idea, thought he had a respectable performance...didnt show the outward passion a lot had hoped but I thought he stayed with floyd for most of the fight..mayweather, among other things, is just a master at scoring the fight he is taking part in, he makes sure to rise to whatever level it takes to win almost every round. its amazing. it was a great opportunity for canelo, hoped he learned something from the fight.

Canelo needs rest in order for GBP to carefully assess his future career steps. The FMJr fight actually resulted in a serious setback.

marquez ect can get easy fights after loses but not canelo.
                  Good point.

He just fought two tough guys away from home, Trout and Mayweather.

Canelo is more of an accuracy puncher. To beat Floyd he needed to show something different, i.e. activity, pressure and mobility - but he didn't, same Canelo.

Canelo never talked about wanting his opponent to be comfortable. There is no hypocrisy.

Right. Golovkin already said he would go down for a Floyd fight at 154.

As Canelo "was sluggish due to weight drain", therefore other geniuses may understand that Canelo can easily fight at 160 (he walked 172 in the Trout fight).
