Comments Thread For: Canelo Eyes Late March Return, Three Fights in 2014

Former world champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-1-1, 30KOs) is looking to return to the ring on a date in late March. Last month Canelo lost a twelve round unanimous decision to Floyd Mayweather Jr. at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The fight was a huge financial success, with over $150 million in revenue generated and over 2.2 million pay-per-view purchases.

Canelo wants to have three fights in 2014. He had planned to have three bouts in 2013, but there wasn't enough time due to the training and promotion for the match with Mayweather.
