Martinez & Crawford are 2 different animals. The former stood infront of Burns and was outboxed and outmuscled, Crawford will exploit the already exposed flaws of Burns by boxing on the outside.

I reckon this fight will stink but at least Burns is fighting good competition.

Then again, if Burns isn't at his best, physically and mentally then Crawford may have the edge but the Burns who romped through Mitchell and beat Martinez will UD Crawford.
I don't know, he could be a special fighter. We'll know more after this one.

        Yeah I believe it will.

It's still a fight that should happen though.

The "nice" was in regards to the fight being signed which I wasn't expecting, I didn't think Burns would fight Crawford especially coming off the injury.

I'm happy the fights been signed. It's two of the best lightweights in the world of course I'm happy.

The fact it will likely be boring IMO is irrelevant I'm still going to watch it with interest.

Lame. They blew off talk of a rematch because Burns apparently had an injury that might end his career, and now they're talking about him fighting four months later.

If you're going to rob the man of the belt as bad as they did, at least give him a rematch. ****.

I know for a fact that Ricky wants the Beltran rematch. He leaves it in the hands of his manager and promoter.

For information, this ducking Broner bull**** needs to stop. Ricky was offered the fight ONCE, at 7 weeks notice. Ricky has a 12-week training camp for every fight. Doesn't matter who it is. It was put to Broner that they will take the fight as long as they could have 12 weeks to prepare. Broner said no. End of story.

As for Crawford, he has fought no one, but I'm not surprised at the hype as it's par for the course over there. He only has a chance if Burns isn't 100%. Otherwise, Burns is too experienced and physically too strong.

I know the robbery wasnt Burns' fault but I can't support him after some bull**** like that. Especially after not giving a rematch.

Do ****s even read the article? There is not one quote from Team Burns in it!

Burns' promoter, Eddie Hearn, has said a number of times that he wants to do the Beltran rematch first because it's "the right thing to do".

This article has quotes by Bob Arum, Crawford's promoter. Crawford is Burns' mandatory, if Top Rank enforce that mandatory position then Burns has to fight him or lose his title. Beltran would have to wait. Incidentally, he's also promoted by TR.

How do you nerds not understand this?
