  • Cotto/Rodriguez Ref + Bradley/Provodnikov

Does Bradley get stopped during that early section of the fight, where he was out on his feet on the ropes?

That ref Saturday night saw Delvin get nailed in the 3rd round, and just stopped moving, and immediately called the fight off

I just find this **** interesting, different refs could completely change an outcome of a fight

Yup, and it's sickening that different refs can change the outcome of a fight.

I thought Ruslan won that fight. I can't remember every round Ruslan should of got 10/8, round 1 was one of them.

Yeah, it just shows how much potential there is for ensuring the 'right' result. Bradley was given the chances 'cos he was supposed to win. Delvin wasn't 'cos Cotto was supposed to win.

(that said, I don't see the Delvin stoppage as a bad one - the KO was on it's way and the Ref prevented a worse beating, but your point is still valid)

Lotta folk did. I think a MD woulda been a fair result but woulda been happiest with the Provo win.

Better the ref calls it off in concern for a fighter's health than let it go to decision and the judges take it away from you.

Same with that Amir Khan Danny Garcia fight. After thr first KD, alot of refs would have stopped the fight right there where amir was all over theplace n didnt kow where the corner was. Ut kenny bayless let him continue due to respect out he was that top fighter...lol but garcia cloked him again anyway

same case can be given for..

                khan/peterson ref + povetkin/klitschko

khan was flirting w a DQ, klit was flirting w povetkin tryna get some head every 10 seconds

& can somebody rewatch povetkin/klitschko nd count how many times he did that bullsht

Different umps have different strike zones.

I'd rather see a ref stop a fight too early than see a fighter get robbed on the cards.

Bradley never gave the ref a reason to step in,he clearly was always punching back..Alvarado was taking clean shots and was not answering at all..Same with Lopez(against Maidana)and Khan blanked out after being down twice in a rd..All good stoppages..Any ref worth his salt is not stopping a Championship fight while a fighter is still defending himself..
