Cotto lost handily to the first true JMW he fought. He can't beat any top MW let alone Martinez. Martinez's age is catching up with him and all he tough fights and injuries he has bad recently have taken their toll on Sergio but he still got enough in the tank to handle Cotto. Cotto is just to small for 160 and really isn't a very big puncher even at 154. Martinez has beat a solid resume of solid MW's all guys bigger and stronger than Cotto.

I don't know why everyone puts Martinez on this pedestal. He's looked far less than impressive in his last few fights. If Martin Murray can drop him and give him fits Cotto will stand a great chance, provided the size/weight doesn't prove too much of a problem.

Roach will be the making of Cotto's legacy, it's the trainer he's needed for a long time. He looked before like he'd lost his way a bit. Roach will bring the fire back, which is what he needs.
