Kevin Mitchell continued his comeback following his defeat to Ricky Burns last year with a sixth-round stoppage of Marco Lopez - paving the way for a domestic dust-up with Derry Mathews.

West Ham fan Mitchell produced some hammer blows as he easily took care of a Mexican opponent who while brave, didn't ever look capable of causing too many problems.

Lopez did, however, show he is nothing if not durable, taking some considerable punishment as he twice picked himself up off the canvas.

Most definitely i would love to see this fight, and providing Mitchell gets through i would like to see him face either Rees or Crolla in 2014 to get the ball rolling on his career.

Derry was getting done by Tommy Coyle before finding the winning punch and Kevin Mitchell brings a similar style to Coyle's but at a higher level in skill, speed and power. Mathews is game and always exciting but he's been stopped several times and I think Mitchell might smash him quick.
