Klitschko should never be shown on TV again.

At least Hopkins and Ward put on entertaining schooling of pascal, Dawson, and froch. Wlad has never even came close to something as entertaining.
Nevertheless brin up Lara who was in the fight of the year with Angulo t not laras fault vanes wouldn't engage and Molina did nothing but clinch as usualComment

I usually never watch this piece of ****ko, but tuned in today. That was just disgusting and disgraceful, period. He should never be allowed to fight again, and the ref should be banned the same. I don't know what sport that was, it certainly wasn't a sport, let alone boxing. Daaamn.Comment

It seems like the clinch is actually part of his right hand, everytime he throws the potshot right lead he follows it with a perfect clinch in one supremely fluid motionComment

povetkin would most likely KO wilder at this point. wladimir, who is lightyears ahead of wilder in terms of punch precision and experience, had trouble keeping povetkin from coming in (hence the clinching/leaning).
I agree though that wladimir looked somehow vulnerable yesterday.Comment

he has been accurate with his power punches in previous fights, but ever since steward died his technique has started to deteriorate.Horrible fight...if you could call it that.
Honestly Wladimir is very accurate and fast with his jab, but he is not accurate with his power punches. He is very physically gifted, but is not skillful. He has quick feet, but pretty poor balance. Just too many flaws to be compared to the best of the best heavyweights. For once Max Kellerman probably has it right, he is a level below the greatest heavyweights of all time.
with regard to his balance, it's the same story - he somehow wasn't "rooted" yesterday, he seemed unstable, and I think that is one of the reasons why his punches did not do major damage.Comment

The most frustrating thing about Wlad is that if he actually followed some of those quick left hooks up with a combination he would have had a highlight reel KO. He had several chances. This is what Wlad does so I'm not going to come on here and go crazy like a lot of people are. What I did long ago is just stop watching his fights. While I admire Wlad's greatness, I can't stand excessive clinching. In fact I watched this one because like Haye, Povetkin was actually somewhat of a challenge, and I passed out on my recliner.
It was funny when I fast forwarded the fight later on in the night when trying to watch the Cotto fight. Literally all you see is hug, hug, lean, lean. I think the best thing for Wlad is to fight some of these other big guys. Then he really has to put punches together and won't be able to lean all the time.Comment
