There has to be some kind of package involved or somebody at HBO should be fired.

I'm pretty sure it was martinez who wanted a tuneup and canelo
saying he would love a shot at cotto next.

Exactly this could be the scenario. Hbo prolly has a deal in place with cotto himself and not threw top rank. Martinez is with dibella and this could bring back Gbp to hbo why not they do wayyyyy better numbers with hbo anyway

Who else did they have that had that kind of starpower. Its been confirmed his deal is fight by fight with his promoter and network. Sergio has a tune-up fight in Argentina when he does come back. I guess we will see in the upcoming weeks whats true.

If Cotto agrees to a Martinez fight, that will be next. No fight in Argentina.

All things being equal who would you agree to fight Sergio or Canelo since they both will be on PPV. Hell Schaefer he has meeting with Cotto next week for whatever value you want to hold in that. It would be ****** for Cotto to tie himself to any network Showtime or HBO.

Hershman signed Manny to a one fight deal in 2011 with no guranteed fights after that so why would Cotto be any different.
