Floyd has nobody else to fight to make big numbers. This fight was used to make Cotto marketable again. Obvious from the time it was signed, to now with the earliest of stoppages.

The interesting thing to consider here is that if Cotto's offensive revival is real, and his conditioning is such that he can commit to his power punches from the outset, I think you can sell a rematch. Just show the replay of this knockout and the 8th round of the Mayweather fight ... voila. Sold.
