BTW that referee is probably the worst in boxing right now. I've watched a couple of his fights and the guy is TERRIBLE! I spend more time watching his ****** head interrupt the action in the ring than watching a ****ing fight.

I wrote here: after Wlad floored Povetkin in the 2nd, the ref felt comfortable and did not bother Wlad with anything until it didn't matter anymore (namely in the 11th).

Vlad fought dirty. If I was a HW contender and I am not, I would really devise a game plan on Punching Vlad in the junk for his tactics. You have no chance anyway the way he holds and lays on you, why not sock him in his ball's? Maybe that would discourage his holding.

I don't believe that would work because he has none.

Horrible fight Povetkin got Panettiered and the ref was watching it like a ****o.

The fight ****** ass, as usual Wladimir protecting his glass chin its very shameful. This is boxing u have to be able take couple shots, he is so gun shy he don't wanna get hit not once. If Wladimir tried to be agressive few clean shots would've got him outta there. After Sanders and Brewster losses Vovka was never the same.

This of course is hyperbole at it's finest. Wlad didn't clinch like this in his last fight againt a equally tall opponent. The opportunity just presented itself tonight for a lot of clinching against a Ricky Hatton-esque opponent.

Honestly not sure. I understand if you clinch and lean on your opponent 5-10 times a round. but not every other second. i was surprised people in Moscow were cool with Ukrainian anthem and didnt disrespect wlad etc. but after the fight - even I would of been pissed.

with Wlad's power, skills, strength. he is a champion could of lean on Povetkin 10 times less, throu more punches and KO him. but...

I only watched round 12, which Povetkin won (Wlad did not lend anything except for clinches, but I am not sure if those count as scoring blows).

Did judges give any rounds to Povetkin?
