I'm not discussing why Cotto only got 1 million versus Trout, just stating the fact. The point is that he's making much less money these days. So shelling out 2 million is a tough price to pay at this point in his career.

And after 2 losses, there is no way he's gonna see 5 million to fight Canelo or Martinez. Martinez has never seen a 5 million payday himself! You can't be serious. Cotto is not broke, but I don't think he's sooooo rich that 2 million won't hurt him.
