I'd say its a fair paraphrase, with all Floyd said. Well first, I see why he needs to believe he's the best. Notice he didn't say a simple "yes" when asked if he thinks himself better than Ali, SRR.. He said "I have to"

That to me is very telling.

But anyway, Floyd is of course not better than Ali. Ali paved the road for Mayweather. And mayweather talks about languishing on the ropes, ali wasn't doing that. Mayweather doesn't factor in how hard big george hits and the fact that he himself has used ropes defense against Ndou and others, and his first go to place when he's hurt is to fade to the ropes. Its easier to defend off of the ropes when you know what you are doing. So Floyd stole that page out of Ali's book. Foreman was landing very little clean to the head, and much of his body work was being mitigated by ali's elbows and arms.

Finally Floyd is talking spinks and norton. Those guys weren't even fought in ali's prime. If Floyd wants to give an honest assessment, he needs to think about the version of Ali that fought liston patterson and cleveland williams. But of course, floyd doesn't want to be fair or honest, understandable because of how he needs his mindset to be. Understandable but wrong.

Neither of them. Joe Louis and Sugar Ray Leonard are great.

It isn't recent though, it was from Rome is Burning which hasn't been on for 2 years and is from before he fought Mosley so it goes way further back.
