Vargas' career may only be similar to a Victor Ortiz, I think if he fought someone like Robert Guerrero, he'd get beat.

He fought Josesito Lopez on pretty much even terms. He edged him but didn't outclass him. He hasn't done jack since. He's still at prospect age but I don't see much upside. He can maybe be led to a belt if he is matched properly but isn't the kind of guy that will have a long reign. Throw him in with Rios & lets see whats the kid is made of. I can't get a read on him but know he loses to elite fighters when he does step up. I think JMM carves him up right now. JMM still has enough left & though Vargas has reach thats about all he will have in his favor

after Bradley, JMM should have 1 or 2 more fights & that's it...he would outclass Vargas, but it is a bout that does nothing for him, he does not need it in any sense..

Whahaha he's funny! Maybe he should try someone in the top 15 first. When he tried his first one against Omotoso he got knocked down!
Ortiz or Berto would already crush him, Marquez would leave him in a wheelchair.

He should have stayed with Mayweather promo. More exposure and he was more of a priority for them. Not he is fighting for relevance. Him against a shawn porter would be a good fight at this stage of both of their careers.
