mosley was a good fight but to JUST call him the "best" at ww is to ignore his form at the time.

we can;t pick and choose what criteria to use when assessing a fight
why do you take any point made to the extreme and then try and argue it backwards? I asked a simple question the answer to which is yes. If it was no, you would have said no.

SInce you can't say no, your opinion becomes that fights were tougher because the fact is cotto and shane were considered #1 when floyd beat them. You can't just shape your opinions to suit your side of a debate.

we agree, we can't pick and choose. but you also can't substitue your opinion in place of facts. no matter what criteria you use, floyd fought shane and cotto when they were #1 at those weights. both shane and cotto had chances to fight floyd much earlier in their careers when floyd was with TR and both turned those opportunites down.

****weather is a known coward. Its funny how these old jive turkeys act like boxing experts on here when idolizing their coward floyd. matter of factly expressing how great he is as if he has had a noteworthy run the way Pacquiao did when he took out all the welters Floyd was terrified of. Floyd's career is just garbage. He should fight who the public wants every time. Pacman we know he fears cuz he gets KO'd or beat on activity so he will not fight him. Martinez is a shot kneeless fighter so he will drain him to 154 to fight him if he ever does try to "man up" for that. Ofcourse manning up would really be 160 but this risk averse **** won't do this. Its funny people give him credit for fighting green Canelo at a catchweight and never mention the fact they tried to fight him at 19 years old. Literally every Floyd win can be discredited after De La Hoya. This guy is trash. People laughably make the claim he is an ATG and then think they aren't sheep, smh.

Great piece of work by one of the best boxing writers out there.
You side with a writer but when majority of the sports world (actual fighters) say Floyd's the best, you argue?! WTF!!!

I love to watch "boxing fans" discredit the best in the sport.

might as well enjoy it cause no matter how much you moan and try to discredit he will still go down as the best of this era.

That straight left he would shot down the pipe out of nowere would bloody floyds nose.

The way Pac, annilated Hatton, and made prime Cotto run for his life was enourgh to scare floyd into retirement, and that is a fact

I am not saying Pac would blow floyd out of the ring, but at the time it was a very competetiv fight
Floyd would've beat and embarrassed Pac.

your was not a simple question, its a loaded one.

you should know that being #1 at a weight doesnt mean you are among the best in the sport--especially when that division is weak, which it was. i hope that clears things up. and mosley wasnt #1 at welter, he was ranked #1 by the wbc. kind of a big difference no? wasnt floyd the #1? see that is what happens when you just cavalierly toss out "#1" you lose sight of the whole story.
