Comments Thread For: Vera’s Promoter: Gwen Adair Shouldn’t Judge Anymore

Artie Pelullo thinks that the judge who handed in a 98-92 scorecard in favor of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. over Brian Vera should be out of a job.

“She’s [Gwen Adair] just bizarre. She shouldn’t be judging anymore,” Pelullo, who promotes Vera, said on an Oct. 2 conference call.

Adair only gave Vera rounds 8 and 9. Marty Denkin, who scored the bout 97-93 for Chavez, only gave Vera rounds 3, 8 and 9. Carla Caiz, who scored the fight 96-94 for Chavez, gave the first four rounds to Vera and the final six rounds to Chavez. [Click Here To Read More]

Boxing needs to have a serious review of their judges and referees. There should be a union or something put in place to regulate them and to try to prevent robberies in the future. Same can be said about the Olympics. The sad thing is that all of these problems stem from people greasing other peoples pockets under the table. Human beings will find a way to corrupt just about anything.

Artie Pellulo WTF kinda name is that. Is this guy a character in Grand Theft Auto or something? Sounds like a coked out lawyer's name.

Have you nothing better to do than attack because of his name?

Pelullo is a little bit harsh, anyone can have an off-night, including the fighters.

He says there are no repercussions for her, but there are - public criticism and it will probably cost her future high profile appointments.
