Amir Khan has to beat Devon Alexander for the IBF belt to make a Mayweather fight sellable to the public.

The problem is that they don't think they can beat Devon.

I don't know WHY you come at me asking such "why" questions.
      But has nothing signed, hmmm.

Well hopefully clarity of the contracts will be given as to what detail is holding up his signature for the fight that he's training for on December 7th vs Alexander.

Stfu Cunningham!! My god, this freaking guy is so annoying. I hope this fight does happen cuz I've always said Khan can beat Alexander's ass. One of the top fighters that is as boring as hell in the game.

When will you nerds learn? Did we not just go through this **** with Floyd-Canelo and in particular Garcia-Matthysse.

Let the fighters negotiate and keep quiet until something is announced

Devon is boring as **** and nobody cares about him. Khan knows this but he has no pull right now so it's kinda hard for the two to agree on money I think. That's my guess.

I thought this fight was already off. Whatever happened to Alexander fighting Zab Judah in December?

Cunningham is just posturing to get more money out of Khan's team... He's been doing it for months. If it's financial, there are 2 things holding up the agreement of Alexander-Khan:

                  1) Khan's team understands that they're Alexander's best money option and they have a history of being stingy negotiators.

                  2) Cunningham understands that Khan wants to fight Mayweather, but needs a good win and title before he gets it and Alexander offers the best available opportunity.

If I were on Khan's team, I'd start negotiating with Robert Guerrero's team as a backup plan if Cunningham keeps thinking he has the high ground. Guerrero's good, but of the top Welterweights that Khan can fight (no TR), he's the best style matchup for Khan to defeat.

If I were on Alexander's team, I hold my position until they threaten to move on or fight an opponent that Devon actually has better shot to beat like Judah, Mosley, or Malignaggi (I think Khan dominates Devon).

If fighting guys who are bigger draws brings you more money then my guess is that Devon isn't really trying to fight Judah instead of Amir.

Guerrero just fought Floyd and made a couple millions, he might be harder to negotiate with being that he might think he's hot ****. Just having been on ppv and all.
