Whether you want to call it duck or not, Khan offered a complete 50/50 split, even including all British TV money even though Khan was a bigger draw and brought a lot more $ to the table. Bradley was offered more money than any fight he had ever had.
Financially, it worked out for him, bc we all know he fought Pac 2 fights later for 5 mil.
But, that being said, the offer to Bradley was more than fair, it was a fight everyone wanted to see bc they were #1 and 2 at 140, Bradley had WBC and WBO titles and Khan had IBF and WBA, and Bradley still turned it down.

Khan fighting Mayweather before a fight with Alexander wouldn't be legitimate.

It seems unlikely because May is so far away, it's unlikely they've even negotiated yet or even thought about the next opponent.
