He needs at least a couple more fights with roach so they can actually get used to each other and for him to really improve. After a good training camp, I see going to a hard earned draw against Canelo, he might be too strong for him at this point in his career.

I thought that fight was impressive, it wasn't an overwhelming victory but still it was still an impressive performance to me. Still it is only one and what has Trout really done he is in the same boat as Canelo.


Cotto-Canelo would be a very interesting fight, I always liked Canelo in that fight because he is the bigger man thus his blows should have more effect. Both are good boxers I think Canelo has a bit more defense in him but Cotto is more clever on offense and the fight would be fought at a pace that favors both of them.

as of right now i think cotto can take Martinez and he would have a battle with Canelo with it going either way. for one Martinez is not the same as he was even pre Chavez JR or after he looks like **** and his body has took a massive turn for the worst. Canelo if he doesnt start early (and have really good success) might have Mayweather flash backs and start to shut down like the May fight( as he might still be shocked by the Mayweather performance).
