Comments Thread For: Chavez Sr. Wants His Son To Dedicate Himself Better

Julio César Chávez Sr., has advised his son Julio Jr. to dedicate himself 110 percent if he wants to return to the elite of his profession.

The legendary champion said his son has a lot of things to improve on for his upcoming fights, after Chavez Jr. had a controversial win this past weekend over Bryan Vera.

“We have to improve many things. Things that are not ok,” Chavez Sr. said. “I wanted that fight [to end by knockout], to have complete control of my son. He must see boxing from another point of view, if not he will not develop.”

Sure Vera thru the most punches, but Chavez landed more power punches.... Isn't that what won Adrien Broner the fight against Paulie? Paulie thru way more punches but Broner landed the more heavier punches, and nobody thought Paulie won that fight... even though some said it could've been a draw, which is how I saw the Chavez Jr. fight with Vera

JCC Sr. needs to tell his son that to his face while slapping him around a bit just to make it sink in.

Vera landed more power punches as well, and the difference between the Broner fight is that Paulie didn't land anywhere near as many effective punches as Bryan did.

In my opinion this idiot, Chavez Jr., is a total arse who didn't train for this fight properly. I can just see how badly he underperformed against Vera. I was expecting a KO in the first fight. Chavez Jr. is a prat, with his talent and physical abilities he should make most it and make his dad proud.

I don't understand. He got beat the **** up by Martinez and had the chance to knock him out at 12, but failed ultimately due to his conditioning (and Martinez heart). Yet for this fight it is an even bigger ****show compared to the camp he had for Martinez.

What the **** is this kid thinking he obviously doesn't give a **** when it's clear what is holding him back.
