After a stop-star career, Sunderland heavyweight Danny Hughes is raring to get back into action under new promoter Phil Jeffries.

Hughes, previously guided by Northeast mainstay Tommy Conroy, has only lost to Audley Harrison and Michael Sprott in a 15-fight career, with both those reverses coming within the Prizefighter format.

Now, under the Pro Box North East banner, ‘Bad News’ Hughes is looking to stay busy and get into some kind of title contention within the next year.
