Eddie Hearn said yesterday (same day as the end of the negotiations) that he would only agree to fight Sturm in Germany if there was a rematch clause so it looks like Barker has that if he gets robbed.

Can you blame him? last time he did, in the US, he got robbed against De La Hoya. He doesn't owe anybody anything, he's a star in Germany, he has no reason to fight elsewhere. IMO.

I don't blame him if thats where everybody is going to make the most money but also Sturm has gotten decisions that he shouldn't had gotten

Also winning on the road would had made him an internationally recognized champ. With that he would had made much more money.

I hear ya, but Geale and Soliman (his last two fights) were very close and on any given night could have gone either way, IMO, both guys got the decision against him in his hometown. I just think there's far worse places for home cookin' recently. Like in Wales where the ref Terry O'Connor carried Cleverly to his corner after he was absolutely done, for example.

Actually after the ODLH fight I wanted to see more of Sturm but the only way I was able to watch him in the US if somebody uploaded the fight on YouTube.

How come Sturm never paid to have GGG fight him in Germany?
Sturm actually paid the WBA $250K to promote him to WBA super champ (which is reserved for when a fighter unifies belts, which Sturm didn't), just so he didnt have to fight Golovkin who was his Mando. This also began Universum's years long feud with golovkin to protect sturm, which resulted in Golovkin being held back many years

He actually didn't pay the WBA. He paid an intermediary who pocketed the money but luckily for him, the WBA only needed a letter to promote him and let him duck GGG. Boxing is a disaster.
