Totally agree with this. I dunno about you guys, but I'd love to see a Mayweather-Trout fight at 154, even though it'd be a tough sell in terms of PPV. Plus, I'm of the firm belief that Trout beat Alvarez.
I'm a bit bored of Mayweather fighting all these come-forward fighters like Hatton, Ortiz, Cotto, Guerrero and Alvarez. I want to see him in there with a rangy southpaw slickster who'll box him like Judah tried to.
... which is why I don't mind him fighting the winner of Alexander-Khan. Regardless of who wins, I'll sort of get what I want to see.
all you'll get is a super boring fight where floyd outboxes the sht outta trout
trout is slow as ****, his punches aren't eye catching(because half the time he's not punching, just trying to touch or cuff you) and his footspeed and footwork are crap too
trout looks good against people rushing to him, where he can cuff them and land his crappy(technique wise) lefts
if you want a rangy southpaw, might aswell go with lara
personally, still think matthysse has the best chance vs floyd, or pac if not shot
You would prefer Floyd vs Trout instead of GGG?
you really don't want Mayweather to get hurt, don't you? lol
Mayweather-Golovkin at 154? Sure, why not. But you're right, I would prefer Trout over Golovkin for the reasons I already listed. We've already seen Mayweather up against big hulking punchers like Ortiz, Cotto and Alvarez. Same shit. Mayweather was supposed to get "seriously hurt" against Alvarez, yet fuck-all happened.
All the while I'm still not sold on Golovkin - he could very well be exposed in his own weight class fighting awkward guys like Pirog, Martinez or Quillin.
rigondeaux the best p4p fighter today...its a shame we don't get to see 2-3 times a year.....arum will protect Garcia gamboa donaire as long as he can before he has to throw to the lone wolf in rigondueax
Not at 154 he wouldn't. Margarito lost to Daniel Santos at 154 who was no Canelo. Margarito was very ordinary at 154 and not good enough to "tear up" any top fighters at that weight.

You are right, Santos is not Canelo, who imo would ****up ginger too.
It's been awhile, but GGG, said at 154, he'd be delighted to Engage, The Master Avoider!
Sounds like you're pretty certain GGG would beat Floyd...so why not look at an natural 154 OR go see Ward...especially since the term "blown up featherweight, lightweight" etc are thrown around when Floyd fights a 140lbr...you wouldn't want GGG following that trend in fighting a "blown up lightweight" in Floyd, right? Let's challenge ourselves & seek out Ward, even Canelo!! Make the standards universal, not just apply them to Floyd.
