    Facts are facts.

HBO working with the wrong formula. They'll learn soon enough.

In the next year, they'll fire their head guy, and the new guy will welcome Golden Boy back.

    Business is business.
Wow, how ignorant can you be? Facts are facts? What was Golovkin's numbers versus Macklin?

Well then it seems HBO is catering to hardcore fans only then. Because true boxing fans, ya know, don't care about where a boxer comes from, his color or ethnicity..... And seeing as how their numbers since this new "formula" you speak of have been the same old HBO numbers, I'm guessing they will be fine.

Even if Golovkin and company drew 100+ million American viewers, it still wouldn't be the reason he is a good fighter/talent. Maybe you should just youtube some street brawls. That seems to be up your alley a bit more then boxing. Or prison fights, since you seem so keen on only supporting and watching boxers who look like you.

FYI the term "Americans" consist of people who are from those exact countries those boxers you just mentioned are from... My god...

Can someone explain why Pac and TR only had a one-fight deal with Showtime (his fight against Mosley)? I thought Arum was moving to Showtime permanently and HBO was really saddened to have lost Manny.

Which holds the two biggest boxing dates of the year which is Cinco De Mayo weekend and the Independence Day weekend of Mexico.

It seems like HBO is settling for Bob Arum b.s again like the did in the year 2010 and 2011.
When he had boxing in a headlock. When HBO was buying b.s fights from him. As a boxing fan the number one boxing network is Showtime. They are giving us the fights that we want to see and the PPV cards are a lot better.

I like how Al, and Paulie call the fights. Where in HBO Jim Lamps has his favorite fighters or tries to make some of these ordinary fighters look a lot better then they really are like a Bika. Ward talking good about Chavez Jr trying to get a PPV fight with him.

Showtime has surpass HBO they have the number one fighter on their network in Money May enough said. I pay for both networks but I feel like I'am getting my money worth with Showtime even my on demand is better on Showtime Sports.

Where on HBO I have to record the fights live on HD or I wont be able to dubbed them later.
I agree with a lot of what you're saying, and I definitely agree with Al and Paulie. They call a fight the way they see it. The HBO announcers are so biased, it's not even funny.

At this point, they have to be biased towards the few superstars they have left.

But, having said that, I do think Showtime needs to get rid of the MMA guy. They need more of an old school play-by-play guy.

Listen, Queen, have you ever heard of lead-in shows? Half the people who had the Golovkin-Macklin fight "on" probably weren't even watching it. It's called having a good lead-in show or movie, and HBO definitely has the upper hand. You're not very bright, are you?

I hope it's soon. I don't care about network beefs but I do believe Showtime has the better stable to begin with so it'd be better for them to take over completely. I just wish guys like Bradley, Marquez, Pac, Rios, GGG, Alvarado, and Provodnikov moved over to SHO. Then HBO would be irrelevant and I could cancel and there would only be one major network showcasing the meaningful events.

Hbo doesn't even want to promote rigfondeaux and doesn't think he would sell, yet he pulls in great numbers.

Hbo has been dropping the ball

                    not sure if serious?
Yep. Showtime is the hype channel now. But they're horrible at it so I don't expect it to matter much. HBO still have the viewers and will continue to do so. Showtime is bush league.

At this point I look at what SHO is putting on for boxing before HBO. HBO has the money so will always have the biggest names for casuals so will always be number 1 but for hardcore fans I think SHO is better and has been better for a while now.
