It might be that rare, almost-extinct thing....an all-action fight involving Mayweather and that's at least a welcome novelty rather than usual, overpaid chessmatch.

Mayweather surely knows Khan is a chinny, risk-taking fighter and he'll inevitably fiddle things so he has the security of coming to the ring weighing far more as well with Khan probably having had to endure all the pain or given away his speed.

I think that encourages Floyd to go on the front foot, apply some early pressure and let some proper shots fly.

The good news is that Khan - bless his macho arse - would respond to this by letting his own hands go and try to meet fire-with-fire.

Khan has quick hands and hits plenty hard and it might be explosive and (yipee!) entertaining whilst it lasts. Its not a purists fight; but at least the mob in the Circus Maximus gets to see some action!

It is an optional fight, anyone he fights at this point from 147 or 154 is about the same currently to the public. Garcia is a bit better but if that is the option they should let that fight grow a bit. To me the best time for that fight is a year from now because that fight could be something more not Canelo level but not terrible business either if Garcia can grow his name a bit more.

So Floyd could either chill and sit on the sidelines not getting paid, or he can fight someone like Khan~ so people dog him when he chills letting stuff come up or they put him on blast for staying busy expecting Floyd to challenge middleweights. Khan beating a guy like Alexander changes nothing, not in terms of appeal, his chances or anything really other than beating a guy who is not like Floyd.

Now Floyd should not get really any credit for beating Khan~ other than it is a win it is pretty much meaningless and he should highlite reel him, but people discount what looking good against a fairly glossy (using the term very losely) name means to the public at large.

(unless u're idea of calling a Mayweather fight boring = Him not getting pummelled) What I mean is, I've seen a few people here refer to Canelo as flat footed, slow, lacking experience, a cherry pick and not a challenge for Mayweather, Khan is none of those things, well he's not slow, or flat footed, experience is questionable.

I'd rather see Garcia face Floyd, and that's saying something, IMO he's earnt the fight, but if it is going to be Khan than it is what it is, but surely we're gonna see a different sort of fight for Mayweather, maybe? I dunno. Anyway lets see what happens?
I could see Khan giving Floyd a little trouble/competition early on in the fight, but definitely not in the mid and later rounds. I like Garcia, but I don't see him giving Floyd any problems at any stage of the fight.

            Floyd/Khan on regular showtime maybe.

It won't be and it will do what it does on PPV, the supporting card will probably be pretty strong so it will probably be worth viewing.

I say Khan and Garcia fight at 147 and the winner gets Floyd next year.
I think Khan is more suited for the higher weight than Garcia and I think he would fight smarter in a rematch. He had absolutely no respect for Garcia in the first fight and rightfully paid the price.
If Khan beats Garcia after the run he has had at 140 it would make the Floyd fight an easier sell. Same thing for Garcia after having a fight at 147 even though he wouldn't be champion.
